During the February 4, 2013 meeting of ANSI’s Nanotechnology Standards Panel (ANSI-NSP), one of the recommendations agreed upon was the development of a freely accessible, online database (to be hosted by ANSI) of relevant nanotechnology standards, codes, and guidelines, to help increase awareness of existing published documents as well as topics under consideration.
Since that February 4 meeting, ANSI has been working on developing such a database which is intended to be utilized by standards organizations, governmental bodies, and others to provide information about standards and associated documents that directly relate to nanomaterials and nanotechnology-related processes, applications and products. At this time, http://nanostandards.ansi.org is now live and ready for use by the larger nanotechnology community.
