6:30 – Nano Advisory Group Business Meeting

6:45 – SETAC NanoAG and OECD: Opportunities for Collaboration in Fostering the Safe and Sustainable Application of Nanotechnologies, Steve Diamond (NanoSafe, Inc.)

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) continues to advance the safe development of nanotechnology through the activities of its Working Party on Manufactured Nanomaterials.  From initial reviews of testing protocols, to development of the nanomaterial testing “Sponsorship Program” to more recent initial efforts to draft guidance documents, the Working Party has made significant contributions to nanomaterial science and regulation. The success of these efforts depends heavily on scientists from around the world and across a broad range of disciplines. SETAC scientists and the NanoAG are ideally positioned to make to significant contributions to these OECD efforts.
